The refuge is a 24/7 service which provides short term crisis accommodation for lone women and women with children escaping from domestic violence.

The refuge offers a communal living experience which enables women from all walks of life to support one another through similar and difficult circumstances.

Refuge advocates are available to provide support, information and referral regarding benefits, legal concerns, housing issues and concerns about children.

Child care is provided on an as available basis to enable residents to attend appointments.
Staff members recognise that domestic violence is a complex issue and will provide non-judgemental support if a woman decides to return home.

The South West Refuge is committed to the provision of excellent service. This includes ensuring a safe environment for all who stay or work here.
