Financial donations

We gratefully accept financial donations from our generous community to help us in our work. Because we don't disclose our location, it's the easiest way you can help. As a registered charity and deductible gift recipient, you can be sure the money we receive is spent helping our clients. Our storage space for donated goods is limited, but our fundraising account takes up no space and we can purchase what's needed, when it's needed.

Donating items

When we have an immediate need, or storage space available, we gratefully accept new, as-new, and handmade items. Below are lists of items we're currently seeking and items we regret we are unable to accept. Good Sammy at 51 Albert Road in Bunbury generously provides a drop-off point for donations to our organisation. Please fill in the register at the drop-off point so we can thank you when your kind donation gets to us.

We understand some donations are best made in person. In this case please contact us so we can make suitable arrangements.

Each year we hold a Golf Day and Charity Auction, which is the major fundraiser we run ourselves with the help of volunteers and donors in the community. We're also fortunate that individuals, groups and businesses in the community hold fundraising events on our behalf. If you'd like to hold a morning tea, sausage sizzle or larger event for us, we'd love to hear from you. See our Events page for details of upcoming fundraisers.

Individuals with a National Police Clearance and great references can apply to volunteer for half a day a week in six-month blocks with practical tasks, like collecting and sorting donations, or washing vehicles. This releases our specially trained staff for their support work with clients.

Short-term corporate volunteer projects are also available.

Student Placements

We prioritise student placements for Certificate IV Community Services Work students from South Regional TAFE, and this is arranged through the Lecturer. We also accept medical students from the Rural Clinical School, and Social Work students from ECU when our resources allow, and are open to approaches from other tertiary institutions. If you're a student in a related field interested in a placement with us, please arrange for the placement co-ordinator to contact us.

No current vacancies.

We will accept applications for our casual pool of Advocates. If you'd like to help clients in a professional capacity, please contact us for an application pack. You will need:

  • Certificate IV in Community Services Work (minimum qualification)

  • National Police Clearance less than six months old

  • Working With Children Card

  • Driver's Licence

  • Right to live and work in Australia

Support our Sponsors

We're all in this together, that's what makes our community great. We couldn't do what we do without the generous support of our community, and in return we support and promote our sponsors to the best of our ability. Check out the Our Helpers page, and support the local businesses who have our backs.
